Duties

• Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise using proper heavy lifting techniques to prevent injury and damage.
• Communicate professionally with clients upon delivery, building strong relationships through excellent customer service skills.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues promptly, and ensure compliance with all safety standards.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while organizing deliveries for maximum efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial driving or route driving, with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating commercial vehicles or automobiles.
• Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, merchandising, and retail store operations is a plus.
• Basic math skills for calculating delivery totals, change handling, and route planning.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations governing commercial vehicle operation is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in customer relationship building and sales is advantageous.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
