Duties

• Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles to deliver products to retail stores and clients.
• Follow established routes efficiently while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards.
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise using safe lifting practices, often involving heavy lifting.
• Communicate professionally with clients to confirm delivery details, answer questions, and build positive relationships.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales.
• Organize daily routes for optimal efficiency while managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations.
• Basic math skills for handling pricing calculations and inventory counts.
• Proven customer service skills with excellent communication abilities.
• Experience in retail store environments or merchandising is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices consistently.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently throughout the day.
• Familiarity with sales techniques such as upselling to enhance client interactions.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.02 - $30.13 per hour
