Duties

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
• Plan efficient delivery routes using organizational skills and route driving knowledge to maximize productivity.
• Load, unload, and transport merchandise, ensuring proper automobile transportation methods and heavy lifting techniques are followed.
• Engage with customers professionally, building strong relationships through clear communication and excellent customer service.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging merchandising and sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while following organizational procedures.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial driving or retail store delivery roles, with a solid understanding of route driving and client communication.
• Strong math skills for pricing calculations, basic math tasks, and handling cash or payment transactions if required.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, heavy lifting safety practices, and automobile transportation best practices.
• Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team coordination.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks consistently.
• Prior experience in upselling or sales within a retail environment is a plus.
• Organizational skills to manage deliveries efficiently and maintain accurate records.
