Duties

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination while managing multiple stops throughout the day.
• Load and unload merchandise using proper lifting techniques, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices, to prevent injury and damage.
• Build strong relationships with clients through professional communication, ensuring their needs are met and questions answered promptly.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain optimal safety and performance standards.
• Assist with merchandising tasks at retail stores, including product placement and inventory checks to support sales efforts.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction while increasing sales revenue.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or automobile transportation, with a solid understanding of traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Strong math skills for accurate pricing calculations, route planning, and inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team coordination.
• Knowledge of retail store operations and merchandising techniques to support sales initiatives.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices; physically fit to handle demanding tasks.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations governing commercial truck driving to ensure compliance at all times.
• Demonstrated organizational skills for managing schedules, deliveries, and documentation efficiently.
