Duties

• Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, to deliver goods across designated routes.
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise using proper lifting techniques to prevent injury and damage.
• Follow planned routes efficiently while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
• Communicate professionally with customers upon delivery, addressing inquiries and providing excellent service.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs of shipments, mileage, and delivery times.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals.
• Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, safety standards, and company policies at all times.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving or commercial truck driving preferred.
• Strong knowledge of route driving, automobile transportation, and safe lifting practices.
• Basic math skills for handling pricing calculations and inventory counts.
• Proven ability to build positive customer relationships through excellent communication skills.
• Experience in retail store environments or merchandising is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during deliveries.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations, sales techniques, and client communication strategies.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage routes, schedules, and documentation effectively.

Pay: $25.59 - $30.82 per hour

Expected hours: 60.0 per week
