Delivery Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle heavy lifting as necessary.

Duties

• Safely operate a delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring items are secured and protected during transit.
• Plan efficient delivery routes to maximise productivity and minimise delays.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential issues.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and logs.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations during loading and unloading processes.

Skills

• Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with driving regulations is advantageous.
• Experience in commercial driving is preferred, with a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type.
• Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Background in warehouse operations is beneficial, particularly in relation to logistics and inventory management.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading tasks.
