Duties

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, managing time effectively to meet scheduled delivery windows.
• Load and unload merchandise with proper techniques, including heavy lifting and merchandising to ensure product integrity.
• Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, building strong customer relationships through professional service and upselling opportunities.
• Verify delivery details, process payments or pricing adjustments, and maintain accurate documentation of deliveries.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain organized records of deliveries, route logs, and client interactions to optimize future service efficiency.

Experience

• Prior experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation is highly desirable.
• Retail store experience or familiarity with merchandising enhances your ability to handle product presentation during deliveries.
• Strong math skills for calculating pricing, discounts, or upselling opportunities during customer interactions.
• Excellent communication skills for client communication, route coordination, and team collaboration.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations ensures safe driving practices and compliance with legal standards.
• Physical ability for heavy lifting and performing safe lifting practices during loading/unloading activities.
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage routes efficiently and keep detailed records of deliveries.
