Duties

• Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards.
• Plan efficient delivery routes using organizational skills to maximize productivity and minimize delays.
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise or packages with safe lifting practices, ensuring items are transported without damage.
• Engage with customers professionally, providing excellent customer service and building lasting client relationships through clear communication.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and revenue.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records in compliance with company policies.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure the vehicle remains in optimal condition for daily operations.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery roles, preferably within retail or wholesale environments.
• Strong knowledge of route driving, pricing strategies, and merchandising techniques.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations, heavy lifting safety practices, and automobile transportation standards.
• Excellent math skills for handling pricing calculations, basic accounting tasks, and inventory management.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Prior experience in retail store environments or customer relationship building is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while following safe lifting practices.

Pay: $28.69 - $30.74 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
