Delivery Driver

We are now looking for an additional Delivery Driver due to expansion of our delivery team to cover routes that will involve travelling to London and the South East. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of driving a 3.5T vehicle. As a delivery driver for Palletower, your role is a crucial part of our operation, delivering products to customers, representing Palletower on the road in our fleet of modern vehicles, and providing excellent customer service.

The majority of this job role will be spent on the road, however you will be starting from our site in Sale, Cheshire, loading the vehicle and then delivering to and unloading at our customer sites throughout the UK and including London and the South East. It is likely that the successful candidates will need to stay in a hotel close to delivery sites in the South for up to two nights a week, overnight accommodation in a hotel and meals will be provided in these situations. Routes are planned by the Logistics team, and typically involve around 7-10 deliveries per day.

The ideal candidate for this role, would be:

• Able to work between the hours of 07:00 to 17:15 Monday to Friday
• Be familiar with driving in and around London and the South East
• Be prepared to stay overnight in and around delivery locations up to twice a week
• Accept that traffic and delays at delivery sites are inevitable and could affect the finishing time
• Comfortable working independently and at a variety of customer sites where different rules and regulations may be applied
• In possession of a full UK driving license
• Above the age of 25 (this is a requirement for our insurers)
