Delivery Driver

We are a delivery contractor for FedEx Ground operating out of the Concord, NC terminal. We are seeking qualified applicants for part and full time positions for the upcoming Christmas season.

We are looking for applicants that enjoy physically demanding, time challenging environments with minimal supervision. You should enjoy interaction with people and have excellent communication skills.

Once the backgrounds and drug test are completed and good then you will be in a position to start immediately. Drug test and DOT physicals are done at no cost of you.

Qualifications

* Valid Driver's License (No CDL Required)

* Must be Able to Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Background Check (No Felonies)

* Must be Able to Pass a DOT Physical

* Minimum 21 years of age

* All applicants will be subject to random drug and alcohol tests periodically throughout their employment.

* Clean Driving Record

• No DWI convictions

• No more than two moving violations within the last three years

Minimum Physical Requirements:

* Must be willing to drive in all weather conditions

* Must be willing to work in all weather conditions

* Must be able to lift 150 lbs. without assistance other than a hand truck

* Must be able to bend repetitively for hours at a time

Must not have ANY previous injuries to your body that can be physically agitated and/or exacerbated by heavy lifting, jarring, driving, climbing, sitting, standing, walking or sliding of heavy packages or lifting/carrying of heavy packages. Any previous injuries that are subject to agitation or exacerbation must be reported during the interview process and prior to any employment offer being made.

Pay is on a daily rate. Weekly paid.

You are expected to be there no later the 8 AM to ensure amply time to do the job correctly.

We have a training program that all new hires must go through as mandated by FedEx. Training pay for those days will be $100 dollars per day. You will train for 1-2 weeks. Training schedule will be Monday-Friday.

Training consist of:

• Riding along with a manager or seasoned driver
• Classroom time

Once you've finished the class and become certified to drive, pay will be bumped up accordingly. At least one or both weekends days will be required work days once you begin driving.

Potential Driver Schedules:

• Wednesday-Sunday (Off Monday and Tuesday)
• Sunday-Thursday (Off Friday and Saturday)
• Tuesday-Saturday (Off Sunday and Monday)
• Friday-Tuesday (Off Wednesday and Thursday)
• Thursday-Monday (Off Tuesday and Wednesday)

We fill schedules based on what the business needs staffing wise.
