Duties

• Safely operate various types of vehicles including commercial trucks, ensuring compliance with all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards
• Plan efficient delivery routes using organizational skills and route driving knowledge to maximize productivity
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper lifting practices, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Deliver products directly to retail stores or customer locations while maintaining professional communication and building positive relationships
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety during deliveries
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer experience and increase revenue
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records in accordance with company policies

Skills

• Proven experience in driving, route driving, or heavy vehicle operation with a clean driving record
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and management
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a talent for relationship building and client communication
• Familiarity with merchandising techniques and retail store environments is a plus
• Organizational skills to manage schedules, routes, and documentation efficiently
