Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load, secure, and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hand tools
• Navigate delivery routes efficiently, optimizing for time and safety while providing exceptional customer service upon delivery
• Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs and report any issues promptly to ensure optimal performance
• Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when necessary, including forklifts or other logistics machinery
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and freight records to ensure compliance and accountability
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
• Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues
• Physical ability to lift heavy packages and operate equipment for extended periods
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping
