Duties

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals while managing multiple stops throughout the day.
• Load and unload merchandise with proper techniques, including heavy lifting and merchandising tasks, maintaining safety standards at all times.
• Communicate effectively with clients upon delivery, addressing their questions and building positive relationships through excellent customer service.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and route details for organizational purposes.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, including route driving and automobile transportation.
• Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, sales techniques, and upselling methods to maximize customer value.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
• Basic math skills for calculating distances, deliveries, pricing adjustments, and inventory counts.
• Familiarity with retail store operations, merchandising practices, and customer relationship building.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations governing commercial truck driving to ensure compliance at all times.
• Organizational skills for managing schedules, routes, and delivery documentation efficiently.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Work Location: On the road
