Job Description

Trolley Laundry is seeking a dependable, professional, and customer-focused Part-Time Pickup & Delivery Driver to join our team.

This position involves picking up and delivering customers' laundry to and from residential homes, businesses, and other designated locations. Our ideal candidate is punctual, organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

As a delivery driver, you will represent our business in the community and play an important role in ensuring our customers receive their laundry accurately, safely, and on time.

Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company-provided vehicle to complete scheduled laundry pickups and deliveries.
• Follow assigned delivery routes, schedules, and instructions accurately and efficiently.
• Pick up, load, transport, unload, and deliver customers' laundry bags and other items with care.
• Ensure all laundry orders are properly identified, handled, and delivered to the correct customer or location.
• Treat customers' personal belongings with respect, care, and discretion.
• Maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor when interacting with residential and commercial customers.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with management, store employees, and customers regarding pickups, deliveries, delays, or special instructions.
• Enter and exit the delivery vehicle frequently throughout the workday while completing scheduled stops.
• Manage time effectively to complete all assigned deliveries promptly without compromising safety.
• Follow all traffic laws, posted speed limits, and safe driving practices at all times.
• Keep the company vehicle clean, organized, and presentable, and promptly report any vehicle maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to customer service, confidentiality, attendance, and safe handling of laundry.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to meet company driving eligibility and insurance requirements.
• Strong record of dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Friendly, professional attitude and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, stay on schedule, and make responsible decisions throughout the workday.
• Ability to repeatedly enter and exit a vehicle and safely handle laundry bags and orders.
• Ability to navigate residential neighborhoods, commercial areas, and delivery locations.
• Willingness to assist with other pickup- and delivery-related duties as needed.

Previous delivery or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Schedule & Attendance Expectations

This is a part-time position with daytime hours, Monday through Friday.

Consistent attendance and punctuality are critical requirements of this position. Our customers rely on scheduled pickups and deliveries, and delays can affect both our customers and our store operations.

The successful candidate must:

• Arrive at work on time and be prepared to begin assigned duties at the scheduled start time.
• Maintain reliable attendance and communicate promptly regarding any unexpected delays or absences.
• Work efficiently and maintain a steady pace throughout the delivery route.
• Complete pickups and deliveries within scheduled timeframes whenever reasonably possible.
• Never sacrifice safe driving practices, traffic laws, or customer service in an effort to complete deliveries more quickly.
