Duties

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrival at each destination while maintaining accurate delivery schedules.
• Load, unload, and transport merchandise with care, demonstrating proper heavy lifting techniques to prevent injury.
• Build strong customer relationships through friendly communication, addressing client needs and inquiries professionally during each delivery.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, utilizing sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and increase revenue.
• Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and route logs for organizational purposes.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations for commercial vehicles.
• Basic math skills for calculating pricing, measurements, and inventory counts accurately.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices; physical stamina is essential.
• Retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product handling and presentation.
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in customer service or client relationship building is highly valued.
