Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination.
• Load and unload merchandise, often requiring heavy lifting and proper merchandising techniques.
• Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, addressing questions or concerns professionally to foster positive relationships.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records in compliance with organizational procedures.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and business growth.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs promptly, and ensure vehicles are kept in excellent condition.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, including route driving and automobile transportation.
• Strong knowledge of pricing strategies and basic math skills for accurate transactions and measurements.
• Excellent customer service and client communication skills to build lasting relationships.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices.
• Familiarity with retail store operations, merchandising, and upselling techniques.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations for commercial truck driving to ensure compliance at all times.
• Exceptional organizational skills for managing deliveries efficiently and maintaining detailed records.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers alike.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
