Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
• Deliver products to retail stores, clients, or designated locations efficiently while following optimized route plans.
• Conduct heavy lifting and merchandise handling with proper technique to prevent injury and ensure product integrity.
• Build positive relationships with customers through professional communication, addressing inquiries, and providing excellent customer service.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing sales opportunities during deliveries.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records in compliance with organizational policies.
• Follow all safety protocols related to automobile transportation, route driving, and heavy lifting to ensure personal and team safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial driving or retail store delivery roles; familiarity with route driving is preferred.
• Strong math skills for pricing calculations, basic inventory management, and transaction processing.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; knowledge of safe lifting practices is essential.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations governing commercial truck driving is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in merchandising or client relationship building is a plus.
• Organizational skills to manage delivery schedules effectively and adapt to changing routes or priorities.
• Military background or experience can be advantageous due to discipline and familiarity with logistics.
