Delivery Driver Position

Capay Valley Farm Shop is a business-to-business food hub located in Esparto, California. We are an alliance of beginning, experienced, and multi-generational land stewards who practice regenerative farming and ranching that builds soil and protects water and air quality. We deliver high-quality food grown by 40 farms and ranches in our agriculturally rich valley — source-identified and harvested-to-order vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers, pastured meats and eggs, dried fruits and nuts, olive oil, grains, and honey—throughout northern California. Established in 2007, we are a for-profit, community-based social enterprise that is committed to serving our producers, customers, and providing a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Position Description

Capay Valley Farm Shop seeks a Delivery Driver who will be part of an aggregation team that receives orders direct from farms and prepares customer orders for delivery. CVFS is committed to recruiting, training, developing, and promoting employees on the basis of individual qualifications, competence, and merit.

Responsibilities

• Participate in picking up, receiving, and delivering orders

General Qualifications

• Experience driving 16ft+ box trucks is preferred
• At least 21 years of age
• Clean DMV driving record
• Excellent mobility, including the ability to lift 50 pounds
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be able to follow directions, work efficiently, and work in a team environment
• Must be dependable, punctual, and have reliable transportation
• Detail oriented, organized, and thorough
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• A desire to contribute to the success of the business as well as the farms and ranches we represent
• Ability to work under pressure

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting hourly wage: $21-25 depending on experience
• Weekly share of fresh produce

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week

Experience:

• Delivery Driving: 1 year (Preferred)
