Duties

• Safely operate delivery trucks and heavy equipment, including forklifts when necessary, to transport freight efficiently across designated routes
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, ensuring secure handling and proper documentation of all shipments
• Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and ensure accurate delivery of goods to customers or distribution centers
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic automotive repairs to maintain optimal vehicle performance
• Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, freight movements, and equipment usage for compliance and tracking purposes
• Communicate proactively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
• Follow all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment at all times

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or other industrial machinery is preferred
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures and shipping documentation requirements
• Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and conduct routine vehicle maintenance
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping
• Physical ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as needed
• Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
