Delivery Driver

The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering goods, products, and orders safely and on time to customers or designated locations. The role involves loading and unloading items, verifying delivery documents, maintaining vehicle condition, and providing professional customer service while complying with traffic laws and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver goods and orders to customers according to assigned schedules and delivery routes.
• Ensure all items are checked, properly loaded, secured, and delivered in good condition.
• Verify delivery orders, invoices, receipts, and other relevant documentation.
• Obtain customer signatures or proof of delivery and report any delivery discrepancies.
• Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries and minimize fuel and operating costs.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and conduct routine vehicle inspections.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, delays, or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Follow traffic regulations, road safety requirements, and company driving policies.
• Handle customer enquiries professionally and maintain a positive service experience.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing goods when required.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, mileage logs, fuel expenses, and related documentation.
• Support warehouse or logistics operations when necessary.

Requirements

• High school certificate or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver is an advantage.
• Valid driving licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle and jurisdiction.
• Good knowledge of local roads, routes, and navigation applications.
• Safe driving habits and a clean driving record.
• Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Physically fit to handle loading and unloading duties when required.
• Honest, reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, or overtime when required.
• Basic English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
