Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, to deliver products to retail stores and clients across designated routes
• Manage route driving efficiently, adhering to schedules and optimizing delivery sequences for maximum productivity
• Conduct heavy lifting using safe lifting practices to load and unload merchandise, ensuring proper handling of goods
• Build positive relationships with customers through friendly communication, addressing inquiries, and providing product information or upselling where appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including route logs, delivery receipts, and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
• Assist with merchandising at retail locations by organizing displays and ensuring products are presented attractively
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate deliveries, report issues, or update on delivery status

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or commercial driving preferred
• Strong knowledge of driving safety protocols, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices
• Basic math skills for calculating pricing, measurements, and inventory counts
• Experience in retail store environments or customer relationship building is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while following safety procedures
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination
• Organizational skills to manage routes efficiently and keep accurate records of deliveries
• Prior experience in sales or upselling techniques is advantageous but not required

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
