Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and optimal customer service
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper lifting techniques, practicing safe lifting practices for heavy items
• Communicate professionally with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns during deliveries
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with transportation laws
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records for organizational efficiency

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, including route driving and automobile transportation
• Strong math skills for pricing calculations, measurements, and basic accounting tasks
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices
• Retail store experience is a plus for understanding merchandising and customer needs
• Knowledge of DOT regulations ensures compliance during all transportation activities
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently and accurately
• Sales aptitude with the ability to upsell products or services effectively
• Exceptional customer relationship building skills to foster loyalty and positive interactions
