About us
Eric Lyons is a family butcher and fine food business that has been feeding the Midlands for five generations, since 1903. We have shops in Knowle, Bentley Heath, Balsall Common and Codsall, we deliver nationwide online, and our stores are expanding quickly.

All of our food is now made at our brand new 5,000 square foot production facility at Oakland International in Redditch. Our team of around 10 amazing people makes pies, sausage rolls, pastry, ready meals and butchery products there for our shops and online customers. The role
You will be the link between our kitchen and our shops. Every day you will load up at Oakland and deliver fresh, chilled and frozen products to our four stores in a brand new electric van. You will report to our Order, Fulfilment and Logistics Manager.

This is a great time to join. We are improving our shop delivery times and looking closely at when each shop receives its orders, so the shops have the right products at the right time and can plan their staffing around it. You will be a big part of getting this right, and your feedback from the road will help shape it. This may mean earlier delivery times, and a 5am start at Oakland is being looked into.

What you will do

• Deliver to our four stores in Knowle, Bentley Heath, Balsall Common and Codsall every day
• Load and unload safely, keeping chilled and frozen products at the right temperature from our kitchen to the shop
• Check orders are complete and correct before you leave and when you hand over at each shop
• Help pack and sort orders in the fridge and freezer when they are not ready on time
• Keep delivery, temperature and vehicle check records up to date
• Look after the van, keep it clean and charged, and report any problems straight away
• Be a friendly, reliable face for our shop teams, and flag anything that could make deliveries smoother

What we are looking for

• Full UK driving licence
• Delivery or multi-drop driving experience is a plus, but we will train the right person
• Happy with early starts and reliable every single day, because our shops count on you
• Organised, careful and good at checking the details
• Willing to get stuck in with picking, packing and sorting when needed
• Food hygiene awareness, or happy to train (we will support you to get your certificate)
• Own transport to get to Oakland for early starts
• Right to work in the UK
