Delivery Driver

Duties

• Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles to deliver goods across designated routes
• Load and unload merchandise, practicing safe lifting techniques and heavy lifting practices to prevent injury
• Ensure accurate pricing and proper documentation for all deliveries, including invoices and delivery logs
• Communicate effectively with clients upon delivery, addressing questions and upselling additional products or services when appropriate
• Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and maintain compliance with traffic laws during route driving
• Organize daily routes efficiently to maximize productivity while adhering to scheduled delivery times
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure vehicle cleanliness and safety standards are met

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation preferred
• Strong math skills for calculating pricing, measurements, and route planning
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination
• Prior retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety procedures related to commercial driving
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently and accurately
• Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to build positive client relationships

Pay: $24.83 - $29.91 per hour
