Delivery Driver – Full Time

Location: Harpenden, Hertfordshire
Hours: 35–37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Pay: £13.25 per hour

We are an established pharmacy group looking for a reliable full-time Delivery Driver to join our team in Harpenden.

The role involves scheduled collections and deliveries between our Harpenden warehouse and our sites across Hertfordshire and London.

You will drive a company-provided electric van, which is based at our Harpenden warehouse. The vehicle is returned to the warehouse at the end of each shift for overnight charging and is not a take-home vehicle.

Main duties include:

• Driving scheduled collection and delivery routes
• Loading and unloading totes, stock and other company items
• Making collections and deliveries between our Harpenden warehouse and sites across Hertfordshire and London
• Ensuring items are transported securely and delivered to the correct location
• Completing simple collection and handover records
• Carrying out basic daily vehicle checks
• Returning the electric van to the warehouse at the end of each shift and connecting it for overnight charging
• Keeping the vehicle clean and tidy
• Placing returned and outgoing totes in the designated collection and dispatch areas
• Assisting with occasional stock transfers and other company deliveries where required

The successful applicant will:

• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Have a good driving record acceptable to our motor insurer
• Be a confident and careful driver
• Be comfortable driving a medium-sized van, including in London
• Be punctual, dependable and well organised
• Be physically able to load and unload totes and stock
• Be able to work independently and follow scheduled routes
• Have a professional and courteous manner
• Have reliable means of travelling to and from the Harpenden workplace each day

Previous van-driving or delivery experience would be useful, but is not essential. An induction will be provided covering our routes, vehicle and collection/delivery procedures.

This is a permanent Monday-to-Friday position with regular daytime hours. Routes will vary depending on operational requirements and will include local Hertfordshire journeys as well as longer runs into London.
