Duties

• Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards.
• Plan efficient routes using organizational skills to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption.
• Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting practices, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring the safety of yourself and others.
• Engage with customers professionally during deliveries, building positive relationships through clear communication and excellent customer service.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure safety and compliance; report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Manage delivery documentation accurately, including route logs, delivery receipts, and client communication records.
• Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging retail store experience to enhance sales opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial driving or heavy vehicle operation, with a valid driver’s license suitable for the vehicle type.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe lifting practices to ensure compliance and safety on the job.
• Strong math skills for pricing calculations, route planning, and inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks regularly.
• Prior retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product placement during deliveries.
• Demonstrated organizational skills for route driving, time management, and documentation accuracy.

Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,500.00 per week
