Delivery Driver

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Delivery Driver to join our growing team. Our company specializes in commercial dishwashing equipment, cleaning chemicals, and service for restaurants throughout the Houston area.

The primary responsibility of this position will initially be delivering chemicals and supplies to customers on established routes. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, demonstrates excellent customer service, and has an interest in learning and growing with our company.

For the right individual, this position offers the opportunity to advance into a Route/Service Technician role, with additional responsibilities involving commercial dishmachine maintenance, chemical dispensing systems, and customer account service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport, and deliver chemicals and supplies to restaurant customers.
• Complete assigned delivery routes accurately and efficiently.
• Verify delivery quantities and maintain accurate invoices and records.
• Safely handle and unload chemical containers.
• Provide courteous, professional service to customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked company vehicle.
• Responsible for staying on schedule with all truck maintenance - scheduled through our office. Candidate needs to report any lights on and stay on schedule with oil changes, etc. Company pays for all maintenance and service.
• Communicate customer concerns, product needs, or equipment issues to management.
• Assist with warehouse duties and inventory as needed.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and delivery schedules.Opportunity for Growth
• Normal business hours during the week from 7am - 5pm routinely - also will have some weekend hours expected

As the employee develops experience and demonstrates reliability, additional training and responsibilities may include:

• Learning the operation of commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Checking and maintaining chemical dispensing systems.
• Performing basic preventative maintenance on dishmachines.
• Troubleshooting equipment and chemical delivery issues.
• Developing customer relationships and managing an assigned service route.
• Advancing into a Route/Service Technician position.

Advancement will depend on job performance, demonstrated skills, training, and company needs.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Previous delivery or route driving experience preferred.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Mechanical aptitude or an interest in learning equipment maintenance is a plus.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
