Delivery Driver

Job Summary

JC’s Event Rentals is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused Driver to assist with the delivery, pickup, and transportation of event rental equipment. The Driver is responsible for ensuring that inflatibles, tables, chairs, tents, linens, and other rental items are delivered safely, on time, and in excellent condition. This position requires safe driving practices, attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service while helping events run smoothly.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up event rental equipment.
• Load, unload, and secure rental items to prevent damage during transportation.
• Verify orders and ensure all equipment is delivered according to customer specifications.
• Set up and break down event rental equipment at designated locations as needed.
• Inspect rental items before delivery and after pickup to identify damage or missing equipment.
• Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records and communicate any issues to management.
• Follow all traffic laws, company safety policies, and proper vehicle operating procedures.
• Keep company vehicles clean, organized, and in good working condition.
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and event coordinators.
• Assist warehouse staff with organizing, cleaning, and preparing rental equipment.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support event schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Experience and understanding of driving with a trailer.
• Ability to lift, carry, load, and unload heavy equipment safely.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Flexible availability to accommodate changing event schedules.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle safety and equipment handling.
• Previous delivery, driving, warehouse, or event rental experience is preferred but not required

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
