Delivery Driver – Independent, Active Work - No CDL Required

Delivery Associate – Essential Job Responsibilities & Physical Requirements:

As a Delivery Associate, you are much more than a driver. This is an active, fast-paced position that requires excellent customer service, safe driving habits, and the ability to perform physical work throughout your entire shift. This is not a typical driving job. Delivery Associates spend the majority of their shift outside the vehicle, walking, carrying packages, climbing stairs, and entering and exiting the van hundreds of times each day. Applicants should be comfortable performing physical work for up to 10-hour shifts in all weather conditions.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company-provided delivery vehicle while following all traffic laws and safety standards.
• Deliver 200–300+ packages per day to homes, apartments, and businesses.
• Frequently enter and exit the delivery vehicle throughout your route (typically 150–250+ times per shift).
• Load, organize, and handle packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Walk several miles each day while completing deliveries.
• Climb and descend multiple flights of stairs throughout the day while carrying packages.
• Traverse a variety of outdoor surfaces, including sidewalks, gravel, grass, dirt, mud, uneven terrain, curbs, steep driveways, and parking lots.
• Deliver safely in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
• Use a handheld device to navigate, scan packages, obtain proof of delivery, and communicate with dispatch.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIC).
• Follow all safety policies and company procedures.

Physical Requirements

Applicants should be comfortable performing the following essential functions throughout a shift of up to 10 hours:

• Repeated walking and standing.
• Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and stretching.
• Repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Repeatedly stepping into and out of the delivery vehicle throughout the workday.
• Carrying packages over varying distances and terrain.
• Maintaining balance while navigating stairs, curbs, and uneven outdoor surfaces.
• Working independently while meeting delivery and safety expectations.

Safety Requirements

For the safety of our team and our customers, Delivery Associates must:

• Wear closed-toe, closed-heel footwear that complies with safety requirements. We offer a $125 shoe credit through Zappos!
• Be able to safely perform all essential job functions.
• Follow all safety policies at all times.

Pay: From $23 per hour

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years or older
• Have a valid, non-probationary driver’s license
• Able to operate a van (GVWR 10,000 lbs. or less) – No CDL required
• Physically capable, with the stamina to lift packages (up to 50 lbs.) and work on your feet throughout the day
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Hard-working and motivated to succeed every day
• Comfortable with technology, including using smartphone apps for routing and package tracking
• Reliable and punctual, our customers count on us!
