Responsibilities

• Safely operate various commercial vehicles, including box trucks and vans, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and carts.
• Execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely drop-offs while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
• Assist with warehouse operations by organizing inventory, moving materials, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
• Use mobile devices to track deliveries, update logs, and communicate with dispatch or team members.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
• Follow safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks to prevent injuries and promote workplace safety.

Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse operations or delivery driving roles.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and manual handling procedures.
• Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations for safe commercial transportation.
• Excellent customer service skills to represent the company professionally during deliveries.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting, moving goods, and manual handling tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with mobile devices for communication, navigation, and record keeping.
