Responsibilities

• Safely operate box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles for delivery routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers.
• Load, unload, and organize materials using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and maintain safe driving practices.
• Follow designated routes using mobile devices or GPS systems to optimize delivery efficiency while adhering to traffic laws.
• Assist with warehouse operations including inventory management, moving stock within the facility, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Load and unload shipments carefully, practicing safe lifting techniques to prevent injury during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries and addressing any questions or concerns.

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or warehouse worker with knowledge of route driving and delivery procedures.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to operate a box truck or van; experience with manual transmission is preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks.
• Ability to lift heavy loads safely while following proper manual handling practices; familiarity with safe lifting techniques is essential.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, weight handling in the workplace, and safe driving practices for commercial vehicles.
• Excellent customer service skills with professional communication abilities during deliveries.
• Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
