Delivery Lead-Full stack developer

Job Purpose We are seeking a hands-on, Full Stack Developer to help build and enhance analytical, data-driven web applications and supporting infrastructure for a quantitative trading firm. This role spans both front-end and back-end development, working across production React applications, microservices, APIs, databases, and automated workflows. The ideal candidate has strong experience developing high-performance, data-intensive applications where scalability, responsiveness, reliability, and clean client/server architecture are critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and upgrade microservices and workflows written in Python/Pandas
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs that serve time-series and quantitative data
• Integrate with database storage across MongoDB, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend services
• Building and maintaining UI components in React + TypeScript
• Developing data visualization and analytical interfaces (tables, charts, dashboards)
• Implementing responsive layouts and design systems using Tailwind CSS
• Working within applications that mix server-side and client-side logic
• Making informed decisions about what belongs on the client vs. the server
• Integrating UI with backend APIs that serve time-series and quantitative data
• Optimizing rendering performance for large datasets and frequent updates
• Debugging issues related to async data, re-renders, and UI state consistency
• Ensure system reliability through monitoring, logging, and alerting

Key competencies Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in software development
• Strong experience with Python (3.9+) and data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy)
• Proficiency building microservices using FastAPI or similar async frameworks
• Solid understanding of enterprise-level data architecture and design patterns
• Experience with both relational (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
• Good understanding of SQL Server stored procedures with the ability to alter or create them as needed
• Working knowledge of containers (Docker) and cloud platforms (GCP/Kubernetes)
• Experience with version control (Git) including branching strategies, code reviews, and PR workflows
• Knowledge of code performance optimization and memory efficiency
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript
• Clear understanding of client vs. server responsibilities in modern React apps
• Experience building data-heavy UIs (tables, charts, filters, dashboards)
• Solid command of Tailwind CSS and responsive design patterns
• Comfortable working with asynchronous data flows and state management
• Ability to reason about performance, memorization, and rendering efficiency
• Able to work independently in an existing, complex codebase

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with market data from industry vendors such as Bloomberg, Factset, or Refinitiv
• Experience with task scheduling and orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, or similar)
• Knowledge of caching strategies (Redis, Memcached) for high-throughput systems
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Helm, Kustomize)
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar)
