Delivery Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Delivery Manager to lead our logistics and distribution operations with enthusiasm and precision. This pivotal role involves overseeing delivery activities, ensuring seamless transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, optimize resource utilization, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to meet organizational goals. With a focus on team leadership and operational excellence, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service levels while managing costs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all aspects of transportation management, including planning, scheduling, and freight management to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution activities.
• Implement process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean principles and supply chain analytics to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Manage budgets, profit & loss statements, and cost control measures to maximize profitability across logistics functions.
• Supervise warehouse supervisors and logistics teams, providing guidance on team management, safety protocols, and operational standards.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) Retail Partners and 1099 contracted delivery teams.
• Utilize ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory management, production planning, demand planning, and overall operations management.

Skills

• Extensive experience in supply chain management, distribution operations, and logistics management.
• Strong understanding of transportation planning, fleet management, and freight/shipping & receiving processes.
• Proven ability to manage profit & loss statements along with budgeting responsibilities.
• Expertise in process management tools such as Lean methodologies and continuous improvement strategies.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle), WMS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience in warehouse or distribution environments with excellent managerial communication skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management techniques, materials management, purchasing, and order fulfillment processes.
• Valid drivers license with clean driving record.
