Delivery Manager / Tech Lead (Digital Wallet / Apple Pay)

About the role

Lead the end-to-end delivery of digital wallet initiatives, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and other digital payment solutions within the banking ecosystem. Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, ensuring delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing payment solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of digital wallet initiatives, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and other digital payment solutions within the banking ecosystem.
• Manage all phases of project and product delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, governance, and post-production support.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, ensuring delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing payment solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Serve as the primary point of coordination between business stakeholders, product owners, architects, development teams, infrastructure teams, security teams, card operations, and external partners.
• Drive the technical implementation and integration of digital wallet capabilities, including card provisioning, tokenization, payment processing, API integrations, customer enrollment, and transaction lifecycle management.
• Lead solution delivery involving payment networks such as Visa and Mastercard, wallet providers, payment processors, and third-party technology vendors.
• Manage project timelines, sprint planning, resource allocation, budget tracking, risk mitigation, and issue resolution throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Oversee technical design reviews, release management, deployment planning, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to translate business and functional requirements into technical deliverables and implementation roadmaps.
• Drive Agile delivery practices and promote continuous improvement across engineering and delivery teams.

About you

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering, technology delivery, technical leadership, or IT project management.
• At least 5 years of experience leading software development teams or managing large-scale technology delivery programs.
• Proven experience delivering digital payment, mobile wallet, card issuing, payment gateway, or digital banking solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, or similar digital wallet implementations is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, including card issuing, acquiring, tokenization, wallet provisioning, payment processing, and transaction flows.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in banking, fintech, payments, or financial services environments is highly preferred.
