Delivery Runner & Operations Assistant

About the role

You will be responsible for delivering fruit baskets, hampers, bouquets and gift arrangements to customers, purchasing supplies from shops and suppliers, and supporting daily store operations. As one of the faces of Petals & Chocs, provide excellent customer service and ensure every gift is delivered safely, professionally and with a friendly smile.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver fruit baskets, hampers, bouquets, flowers and other gift arrangements to customers, offices, hospitals and other designated locations

• Ensure all gifts are handled carefully and delivered in excellent condition without damage

• Check delivery details, recipient information, card messages and order items before leaving the shop

• Plan delivery routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries

• Contact customers or recipients politely when necessary to coordinate deliveries

• Provide friendly, courteous and professional service when interacting with customers and recipients

• Purchase fruits, flowers, chocolates, packaging materials and other supplies from shops, markets or suppliers as instructed

• Check purchased items for quality, quantity and accuracy before returning to the shop

• Assist with loading, unloading, carrying and arranging gift products and supplies

About you

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification
• Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence (D or B2, depending on vehicle requirements)
• Previous experience as a delivery runner, dispatch rider, driver or operations assistant is an advantage
• Must be friendly, polite, approachable and comfortable interacting with customers
• Must maintain a neat, clean with good personal hygiene
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia; basic English communication is an advantage
• Familiar with Klang Valley routes and able to use Waze or Google Maps
• Responsible, honest, punctual and reliable in handling customer orders and company purchases
• Able to handle cash, receipts and purchasing transactions accurately
