Delivery Service Supervisor

Role Overview: This position involves supervising delivery operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency. It includes directing delivery staff, managing routing, analyzing data for optimal planning, and maintaining customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily delivery activities, safety, and adherence to procedures.
• Analyze live/historical data to optimize delivery plans and ensure on-time service.
• Manage labor hours, schedule adjustments, and asset utilization.
• Coordinate repairs, review productivity reports, and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Train staff on policies, safety, and performance expectations.
• Communicate proactively with drivers, sales, and marketing teams to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with safety trainers and transportation supervisors on safety and conduct investigations.
• Create reports using various software tools to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or GED required; college degree in Business or related field preferred. Experience of 1-3 years in a related role. Skills include leadership, problem-solving, knowledge of safety regulations, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong communication skills. Certifications in defensive driving and HazMat are a plus.

Physical & Other Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 20 pounds, and operate computer equipment. Must demonstrate excellent computer literacy and communication abilities.
