Delivery/CDL Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team and serve as a leader for future employees. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic laws, and the ability to manage time effectively.

Duties

• Safely operate and drive trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
• Ability to lead and instruct others on safety adherence, delivery protocol and general best-practices.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Manage loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Utilize manual transmission when required for specific truck types.
• Operate forklifts as necessary for loading and unloading tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Familiarity with operating various truck types.
• Experience in truck driving with a focus on safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps effectively.
• Prior experience as a delivery driver is a plus but not required.
• Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
