Position: DeltaV Automation Coders/Testers

Job Overview We are seeking DeltaV Automation Coders/Testers with hands-on Emerson DeltaV programming, configuration, and testing experience in regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environments. The role involves DeltaV Batch configuration, ISA-88 batch-control implementation, software testing, troubleshooting, and automation qualification support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, modify, and troubleshoot Emerson DeltaV control code.
• Configure control modules, equipment modules, phases, sequences, and batch recipes.
• Apply ISA-88 principles to batch-control design and implementation.
• Develop and execute test scripts for control logic, sequences, alarms, interlocks, and batch recipes.
• Support code reviews, simulation testing, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and qualification activities.
• Troubleshoot software defects and document testing discrepancies.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, configurations, and test documentation.
• Support change controls, deviations, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Automation, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Validation teams.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with GMP, GDP, and data-integrity requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV programming, configuration, and testing.
• Strong DeltaV Batch and ISA-88 batch-control knowledge.
• Experience configuring control modules, phases, sequences, recipes, alarms, and interlocks.
• Experience developing and executing automation test scripts.
• Completion of Emerson DeltaV Implementation I (Course 7009) and Implementation II (Course 7016).
• Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of GMP, GDP, change control, and validation requirements.
• Ability to interpret functional specifications, control narratives, and P&IDs.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience with commissioning, automation qualification, or Computer System Validation is preferred.
