Delve Freight Solutions is looking for a motivated and results-driven Freight Broker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in freight brokerage, carrier sourcing, customer relationship management, and negotiating competitive rates in the U.S. transportation market.

The successful candidate will help develop new business, build strong relationships with shippers and carriers, and coordinate freight movements efficiently while maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with shippers, carriers, and transportation partners.
• Identify and secure new freight opportunities through prospecting and cold calling.
• Source reliable carriers to cover available loads.
• Negotiate competitive rates with customers and carriers to maximize profit margins.
• Manage shipments from booking through delivery and ensure timely updates.
• Track loads and proactively resolve delays, service issues, and other operational challenges.
• Maintain accurate load information, customer records, and shipment documentation.
• Follow up on rate confirmations, bills of lading, proof of delivery, and other required documents.
• Monitor market rates and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain long-term business relationships.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation is preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and sales skills.
• Knowledge of the U.S. trucking and freight brokerage industry.
• Ability to source carriers and negotiate profitable freight rates.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and transportation management systems is a plus.
