Role Summary

We are looking for a highly analytical and execution-focused Demand & Supply Planning Manager to drive end-to-end demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory optimization, and replenishment across all sales channels. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with fast-moving and perishable products.

The role requires balancing customer demand with supply constraints while ensuring high product availability, optimum inventory, and minimal wastage across our omnichannel business.

Location: Baner & Talegaon MIDC

Format: On-site, Monday - Saturday

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Forecasting

• • Develop accurate demand forecasts using historical sales, seasonality, promotions, new product launches, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Category, Procurement, and Finance teams to build consensus forecasts.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and continuously improve forecasting models.
  • Analyze demand fluctuations and proactively recommend corrective actions.

Supply Planning

• • Develop supply plans aligned with demand forecasts, production capacities, procurement timelines, and vendor capabilities.
  • Ensure timely replenishment across warehouses, retail stores, and quick commerce dark stores.
  • Balance inventory levels while minimizing stock-outs, excess inventory, and product expiry.
  • Plan inventory movement across hubs based on demand patterns.

Inventory Management

• • Drive inventory optimization across multiple product categories.
  • Monitor inventory ageing, slow-moving inventory, and shelf-life risks.
  • Recommend liquidation or promotional plans to reduce inventory losses.
  • Maintain target inventory norms across all channels.

Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

• • Participate in monthly S&OP meetings and prepare planning dashboards.
  • Highlight risks related to demand, supply, procurement, or capacity.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve supply gaps.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• • Coordinate with Procurement for raw material and finished goods availability.
  • Partner with Operations and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Work with Category and Commercial teams during product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional events

Requirements

• • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Statistics, or related discipline. MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Operations preferred.
  • 7–8 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or Supply Chain Planning.
  • Mandatory experience in FMCG companies handling fast-moving and perishable products such as food, beverages, dairy, fresh produce, or similar categories.
  • Experience in omnichannel planning (D2C, Retail, E-commerce, Quick Commerce) will be preferred.
  • Exposure to large SKU portfolios is highly desirable.

  • Experience with planning softwares
  • SQL knowledge for data analysis.
  • Experience managing seasonal businesses and promotional demand spikes.
