Demand Planner

A leading beauty retail organization is looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Demand Planner.

The role will be responsible for demand forecasting, inventory planning, and product availability, ensuring that products are available while maintaining healthy and optimized inventory levels. The position will work closely with Merchandising and Supply Chain teams to translate business and sales data into effective demand and inventory plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate product demand forecasts using historical sales, trends, business plans, and market demand.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stock shortages, excess inventory, and replenishment requirements.
• Analyze sales, inventory, and product performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Translate data and insights into actionable demand and inventory plans.
• Support inventory optimization and product availability in line with business objectives.
• Prepare regular forecasts, reports, and analysis to support merchandising and supply chain decisions.
• Coordinate with Merchandising, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of demand plans.
• Maintain accurate planning and inventory data and ensure timely completion of related administrative requirements.
• Support product launches, seasonal initiatives, and other merchandising activities from a demand planning perspective.
• Identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy, inventory efficiency, and planning processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Merchandising, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, product planning, or supply chain.
• Experience in luxury retail, beauty, fashion, or premium consumer brands is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and forecasting tools.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and administrative skills.
• Ability to interpret data and translate insights into clear, actionable plans.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
• Familiarity with demand planning, inventory management, or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Proactive, organized, and solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on operational execution in a fast-paced retail environment.
