Demand Planner

The basic function of a Demand Planner involves coordinationg with cross functional terams. The important role of the position is to forecast and estimate future demand for the company's products or goods. This involves analyzing historical sales data, market trends and other relevant factors to make predictions about the quantity of goods that the customer will likely purchase in the future. The primary goal is to ensure that the right amount of inventory is available to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock or shortages.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop, review and maintain demand forecasts based on sales trends, promotional activities, economic conditions, seasonal variations, competitive actions, technological advancements, government regulations and supply chain disruptions.

2. Collaborate with Sales and marketing to incorporate new product launches, promotions and customer insights into th e demand plan.

3. Monitor forcast accuracy and recommend adjustments based on performance and market changes

4. Conduct regular demand and supply review meetings (S&OP)

5. Submit reports and analyses for management on forecast performance and trends and provide recommendations.
