Demand Planning Assistan

Role Description The Demand Planning Assistant will support forecasting and planning activities to ensure timely and efficient allocation of resources across IDSC’s services. This part-time remote role involves collecting and analyzing data, preparing demand reports, and assisting in the coordination of service schedules and workload distribution. The role includes maintaining planning tools, monitoring variances between forecasted and actual demand, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize capacity and improve service delivery. The Demand Planning Assistant will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends, risks, and opportunities in demand patterns.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Planning capabilities to support forecasting and resource allocation.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and present demand insights clearly.
• Candidates should possess basic Production Planning or service planning skills to assist in scheduling and capacity management.
• Relevant experience in data analysis, operations, or planning within service-oriented or public sector environments is beneficial.
• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and planning tools (e.g., Excel, basic BI or forecasting tools) and strong attention to detail are advantageous.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and handle confidential information with professionalism.
