About the role
The Demi Baker assists the Baker or Pastry Chef in preparing and producing breads, pastries, desserts, and other bakery products while maintaining quality, freshness, presentation, and food safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in preparing, mixing, shaping, baking, and decorating bakery products
- Prepare items for restaurants, buffets, banquets, and resort events
- Follow recipes, production schedules, and portion standards
- Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of the bakery area and equipment
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products
- Monitor ingredient supplies and minimize food waste
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist the Baker or Pastry Chef with daily bakery operations
About you
- 1–2 years of bakery, pastry, hotel, resort, or restaurant experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and equipment
- Good attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work under pressure and flexible shifts
- Good teamwork and communication skills
