About the role

Hotel De'La Ferns in Cameron Highlands is seeking a Demi Chef to play a pivotal role in modernizing our kitchen operations. You will take charge of cooking for ala carte menu & special events and banquets, ensuring all dishes meet our high standards and delight our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Take charge of cooking for ala carte menu & special events and banquets, ensuring all dishes meet our high standards and delight our guests
• Uphold impeccable standards of food quality, presentation, and taste, while optimizing costs through smart procurement and portion control
• Contribute to recipe costing for diverse menus, including à la carte, breakfast, and group/event offerings
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure seamless operations, fostering an environment of open communication and collaboration
• Mentor commis chefs, sharing your expertise and encouraging their growth in a kitchen environment

About you

• Culinary school diploma or equivalent certification
• Demonstrated experience in a dynamic kitchen setting, with a keen interest in leveraging technology for culinary innovation
• Passion for driving change and a forward-thinking approach to kitchen operations
