What they need

Carpenter

Steady, year-round carpentry, demolition, and roll-off dumpster work on the rental properties we own across Southwest Florida, plus remodel and rebuild jobs for outside clients. It's physical, outdoor work. Small crew, $25-$30/hour, weekly pay, and heavy-equipment training.

Pay

$25-$30 per hour, depending on experience. Paid every week. The work is year-round. Our own properties keep the schedule full, so no seasonal layoffs.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, with early starts. If a storm hits, expect longer days and some weekend work during cleanup.

The Job

You'll spend most of your time doing rough carpentry (framing, drywall, and repairs) on our own rental properties across Southwest Florida and on remodel and rebuild projects for outside clients. The rest is selective demolition: tearing out walls, kitchens, baths, and flooring so the rebuild can start. We run our own roll-off trucks to drop, swap, and haul dumpsters, and you'll work with the trucks most weeks. This is hard, physical work all day. That's the job, not a side of it. We're based in Fort Myers. Some jobs are farther out in Naples, Port Charlotte, and Sarasota, and occasionally elsewhere in Florida. You'll stay overnight a few nights a month; we'll explain how travel and lodging work at the interview.

What You'll Do

· Frame walls, floors, and roofs; set doors and windows

· Hang, tape, and finish drywall

· Remodel and repair our own rental properties, plus storm repairs when a hurricane comes through

· Tear out interiors while protecting the rest of the building

· Help with full teardowns, mobile home removal, and concrete removal when the crew needs it

· Load debris into roll-off dumpsters and sort material for disposal or recycling

· Help set, swap, and haul roll-off dumpsters: guide the truck in, tarp and secure loads, and keep the drop site clear

· Drive crew trucks and trailers to job sites when needed

· Run skid steers and excavators if you're trained; we'll train you if you're not

· Keep the job site clean and safe and follow the crew lead's direction

What You Need

· 2+ years of framing experience; able to work from plans and measurements without being walked through every step

· Valid driver's license and a driving record that allows you to drive company vehicles

· Able to meet the physical demands listed below

· Able to travel and stay overnight for out-of-town jobs a few nights a month

· Reliable: you show up on time, every day, ready to work

Physical Demands

This job is physical every day. You need to be able to do all of the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:

· Lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly: lumber, drywall, doors, and debris

· Push, pull, and drag heavy material; move the heaviest loads with a partner or equipment

· Stand, walk, kneel, crouch, bend, and reach overhead for most of the shift

· Climb ladders and work on roofs and scaffolding

· Swing hammers, sledgehammers, and pry bars and run power tools for long stretches, especially on demo days

· Work outdoors in Florida heat, humidity, and rain, and on dusty, noisy job sites

· Wear required safety gear all day: hard hat, eye and ear protection, gloves, and work boots

Nice to Have

· Drywall experience

· Heavy equipment experience (skid steer, excavator, mini-excavator)

· Demolition experience

· CDL (Class A or B) to drive our roll-off trucks

· Bilingual English/Spanish
