Demolition Worker

First Step Demolition is hiring experienced Commercial Demolition Technicians for projects throughout the Phoenix metro area.

We perform all types of commercial demolition, including interior demolition, selective demolition, grey-shell demolition, concrete and masonry removal, structural demolition, sawcutting, and complete building demolition.

We are looking for experienced demo techs who understand production, safety, proper use of tools and equipment, and the importance of keeping a clean and organized jobsite.

Applicants should have real commercial demolition experience and be able to work effectively as part of a crew in active construction environments

Compensation:

$34,000 - $65,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

• Perform commercial demolition work safely and efficiently
• Complete selective, interior, structural, concrete, masonry, and site demolition scopes
• Protect existing conditions and items scheduled to remain
• Maintain production and debris flow throughout the shift
• Clean as you work and maintain organized work areas, access paths, and load-out areas
• Safely operate demolition tools and equipment
• Follow company and site safety requirements
• Take care of company tools, equipment, and jobsite property
• Work effectively with foremen and other crew members

Qualifications:

• Commercial construction experience required
• Experience with selective and interior demolition
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
• Comfortable working overhead and from lifts, scaffolds, and ladders when needed
• Physically able to work full shifts and lift 50+ lbs
• Understands how to protect existing conditions during demolition
• Takes care of company tools and equipment
• Maintains clean and professional work areas
• Communicates well and works as part of a crew
• Concrete demolition and sawcutting experience preferred
• Torch experience preferred
• OSHA 10/30 or other safety certifications preferred
• Lead or foreman capability is a plus
