Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures
• Assist dentists during examinations and treatments by handing instruments, suctioning, and managing patient comfort
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Manage patient records with accuracy using dental software oryx documenting procedures and updates efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist, greeting patients and scheduling appointments with professionalism
• Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming environment and explaining procedures in an age-appropriate manner
• Maintain infection control standards by following strict sterilization protocols and safety guidelines

Requirements

• Proven experience in dental assisting or related roles, with knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Familiarity with dental practice management software such as oryx for record keeping and scheduling.
• Basic understanding of orthodontics principles to assist with specialized treatments when needed
• Knowledge of pediatrics to effectively communicate with young patients and their families
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide outstanding patient care

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 16.0 per week

Work Location: In person
