Duties

• Assist dentists during various general dentistry procedures with precision and professionalism.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all tools meet infection prevention management standards.
• Take dental x-rays and medical imaging using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Manage patient records accurately using patient management software (Dentrix ascend) ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
• Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures and ensuring patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.
• Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and coordinating patient flow efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments, sterilizing equipment, and following infection control protocols diligently.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures.
• Proficiency in EMR systems for managing electronic health records effectively.
• Strong understanding of infection prevention management, sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control expertise.
• Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards for patients and staff.
• Knowledge of dental equipment operation including chairside assisting tools, dental instruments, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices.
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry cases.
• Certification in X-ray techniques preferred
• Ability to follow clinical confidentiality policies strictly while managing sensitive medical records and documentation.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
