About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team at Conder Dental Centre. In this part time role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our dentists and providing high-quality patient care in our modern practice located in Conder, ACT.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilising instruments, and handing dentists the required tools
• Greeting and welcoming patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and providing exceptional customer service
• Maintaining accurate patient records, scheduling appointments, and handling administrative duties as required
• Ensuring the dental practice is clean, organised, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
• Supporting the overall operations of the dental practice and contributing to a positive team environment

What we're looking for

• A relevant Dental Assisting qualification or equivalent experience in a dental or healthcare setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a warm and professional manner
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
• A team-oriented approach and the willingness to contribute to the smooth running of the practice
• Proficiency in using dental equipment and software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
